After that, the charge, the receipt and the closed instalment happen without them.

How it works

Six steps, start to finish

The practice does the first step. The family does one step on their phone. The software does the rest.

  1. Staff create the plan in Ortho2, as always

    Nobody learns a new system, and nobody leaves the screen they already use.

  2. We read the plan

    The software reads what the practice just made: the amount, the dates, and what is left to pay.

  3. The family gets a link

    It goes to the responsible party by text or by email, and it opens on any phone.

  4. They sign and pay on their phone

    They read what they are agreeing to, sign with a finger, and put the card into the processor's own hosted page.

  5. The charge is approved

    The approval comes back while the family is still on the screen, and they see it there.

  6. The receipt lands back in Ortho2

    The payment is written into Ortho2 and the instalment closes, with nothing retyped at the desk.

The fee

The fee, before you have to ask

Families pay a $5.95 technology fee on each payment, shown before the payment is made. The practice never sees it and never handles it. MODELLED

That technology fee is NextRev's own price, and it is not a processor's rate.

Free, no call

Send one page of your last processor statement

We read it and send back two things: every fee the practice is paying now, line by line, and what that same month would have cost with NextRev.

It comes back written in plain words, with the page you sent marked up.

Nothing is charged, no card is asked for, and no call is booked. If you want to talk to a person afterwards, that is your choice to make.

What staying costs

Doing nothing has a price too

In June, a processor added a yearly infrastructure fee of $499 to merchant statements, a BENCHMARK figure taken from published reports.

It comes from published reports rather than from a statement we have read, so it is not your practice's own bill and we will not pretend to know what your bill says.

Fees like that arrive by letter, and nobody at the practice gets a vote on them.

Meanwhile the desk keeps posting payments by hand, and families keep getting telephone calls about money they meant to pay.
